Booking Terms and Conditions for Farmhouse Holidays

We have provided these T&Cs in 14pt text to ensure that they are legible.  If you cannot read them, please advise us by eMail.

Generally we try to remain as flexible as possible, but we reserve the right to enforce these terms and conditions. If you require cancellation insurance please ask at the time of making your reservation and we will send you the appropriate forms.

Bookings

Either telephone, email or write to us to reserve your holiday. We will then reserve the room for you (including closing the room with several Internet booking agencies) and usually we write to you (letter, email or fax) to request a deposit and confirm your reservation.  Alternatively we may verbally request a deposit, and on receipt of the deposit we will write to confirm the booking providing there is sufficient time to do so before your holiday start date.  On receipt of the deposit the booking is confirmed and the cancellation instructions apply.  Where deposits are not received by post within 5 days of our request we reserve the right to cancel  the reservation and return any deposit if subsequently received. Deposits are a minimum of 10% of the total value of the holiday.

Cancellations

Deposits are refundable on the date written (including fax and electronic mail) cancellation instructions are received by us as follows:

100% refund  if cancellation instructions are received by us 21 days prior to your holiday start date.

50% refund if cancellation instructions are received by us within 14 days of your holiday start date.

No refund if cancellation instructions are received by us less than 14 days before your holiday start date. 

Payment of final balance

Please note we cannot accept CREDIT/DEBIT Cards.  Cheques with bank card, or cash (£ sterling) are acceptable.   Travellers Cheques £ Sterling are also acceptable.

Arrivals/Departures

Rooms are usually available from 4 pm (16:00) on the day of arrival. However, please provide an estimated time of arrival.
Bedrooms must be vacated by 10 am (10:00) on day of departure so that we can service them for arriving guests.  

Non-Arrival

In the event that you do not arrive by midnight on the start date of your holiday, and you have not contacted us, we will assume the holiday is cancelled.  If you subsequently arrive and we are able to accommodate you we reserve the right to charge a 20% surcharge to cover re-advertising and administration costs we will have incurred.

If we cancel your holiday

In the extremely unlikely event that we have to cancel your holiday for any reason we will refund your deposit in full and will not be liable for any other ancillary costs or losses you may have incurred.

Pets

Guests will be liable for the full cost of any damage caused by their pets. Pets must not be left unattended in the farmhouse and are not allowed on beds/furniture. Please bring your pet's bed. As we are a farm, and surrounded by farms, dogs must be kept on a lead while outside. We reserve the right to refuse pets in the farmhouse (except Assistance Dogs). In such an event, we have 2 comfortable and warm purpose built kennels for your pet’s holiday.

This contract is governed by courts and laws of England and Wales.
